irruption of death

my first month theme entry august: dead heat


The sand was hot on Jesus hooves all around him was a heat a heavy feeling washes over the tabby stallion, for once he felt fear, desperation and a sense of loneliness. he was alone; alone in the wasteland around him.the mountain in the back round seemed his only company. it growled sounding like a mighty beast that sought to devour him. a powerful presence surrounded the great landscape but that might beast kept him enchanted his bright aqua eyes focused on the mountain. the stallion breathed in the heavy hot air, his nostrils flaring as the skin in his nose turned reddish pink his blood pumping fast causing his veins to raise in his legs face and groin. his body knew something was coming but yet he panicked to know his bodies held secret. "what was this?" the question swirled in his mind as the air got thicker. snow seemed to flurry but it wasn't snow. he knew snow he knew the smell the feel the cold the wetness feeling. it was hot to the touch and when he looked up he had noticed the sky darken swallowing the sun into its clutches darkness devoured the light leaving him to see a glow in the mountains peek  . the smell around him was musty and dry causing him to cough. he neighs loudly in a panic but he couldn't seem to get his body to move his legs stiffened as they locked him into place forcing him to watch the sudden blast or red and orange color the colors of the sun as if the sun itself was blasting from the peek. he thought the sun was escaping from the darkness. its grip now broken on the great light above but this light now seemed to drop like water it flowed down the peek making a mightier heat the mountain roared spitting its venomous glowing water. Jesu finally felt his body again. he reared upwards as if telling this new predator that he was a warrior. he would stand and fight the force of nature alone, and he did he galloped toward the flowing fire water and as his hooves touched the mountain face the lava seemed to form at first into just a ball of light reds and orange yellow and grey. then the mass took form the lava now formed a beast the roaring dragon a beast from his memory this was his foe. his arch enemy. this was the dragon he was born to fight to great dragon made of fire and lava. he could not remember its name. not until it roared and a name boomed in the stallions ears as the tabby reared into battle unknowing his dream was to be a reality. that the beast was real and one day he would face this beast one day he would face him...."dead heat".
